In my view it's no coincidence that the the first few episodes of Series 1 of 'This Life' (written by Amy Jenkins) were panned, and the show only became a cult hit during the run of Series 2 (written by other people). The fact that Amy Jenkins by association got a lot of credit for the witty writing of This Life is a travesty. As was the reunion episode. I was an avid fan of the original, but during the 'plus 10' show I was willing it end. A lot of the interesting characters from the original series weren't in the reunion, and the enigmatic documentary maker was far more interesting to me than all the original characters, although the documentary storyline was ridiculous. Indeed, all the storylines were ridiculous. I really wish I hadn't watched it. btw, I know someone who trained as a solicitor with Amy Jenkins and as well as immorally taking credit for the show, she also lies about her age.
