Once upon a blog

I have finally decided that I should do something with at least some of the content I wrote during the long-forgotten half decade of blogging that preceded An Unreliable Witness, so I have transferred a selection of the posts from those five years onto this site, tweaked them a little, and attempted to stick them all in appropriate categories (a process that brought new meaning to the word tedium).

It’s called Preserving, and while it may indeed be here, it’s also not here. It’s wherever you were (if you will forgive the dreadful pun). The site will almost never be updated, so you’ve no need to add it to any feeds. It merely exists for you to flick through if you have a spare few minutes or a spare few days, and you wish to fondly recall a time when I was young, innocent and dreadfully naive. The other reason it exists is for me - because I am far too precious with my own words and have a fundamental inability to let old writing rest in pieces.

Yes, although it may go against the international rules of blogging, I am allowed to have four blogs because I am ace. (This is part of my new self-confidence, positivity vibe. Are you getting it?)

Okay, Gordon. I was dreadfully naive. And younger. Innocent? Er, well, maybe only maybe.

I defy anyone to accuse you of currently having too much time on your hands for your own good…

Well all I can say is thank God for aggregated news readers :)

Yeah, I relate to the preciousness with words thing - I can’t throw them away either. They’re like little traces of me scattered all over bits of paper (either real or electronic). I assume that Freud would have soemthing to say about this tendency - but who cares?
