are you still going on about your ‘very large pencil’?

    andre | 07.05.07, 12:43

Andre - I think my ‘very large pencil’ has been worn down. I was pressing too hard.

Angelalala - You might regret that. I’ll never stop now.

    An Unreliable Witness | 07.05.07, 13:59

    I blame Take That!

    andre | 07.05.07, 15:18

    Very large pencil???? :)
Have we veered slightly off subject here?
Or is this what you were talking about Mr Unreliable?

    Rachel | 07.05.07, 17:46

Rachel - There was a topic to my comments once, but that’s long ago disappeared, I think.

    An Unreliable Witness | 07.05.07, 18:09

    Topic? Who needs a topic?

Well, you don’t like to brag, but… that’s a very big sign (with very large lettering) for such an apparently modest person. And there appears to be no space to finish the thought anyhow.

    la fille | 07.05.07, 19:39

… but you have re-invented the rules of punctuation and banished capitals forever?

    Ariel | 07.05.07, 21:30

I like to brag, but I won’t go into that.

    callisto | 07.06.07, 01:18

La Fille - I don’t like to brag about the size of my sign. I am unfailingly modest. Really.

Ariel - I promise my dispensing with punctuation and capitals was only a temporary failing, to illustrate the point about how lowercase and modest I am. Normal service is now resumed.

Callisto - Oh, please do go into that. Fulsome bragging is not only allowed but positively encouraged in my comments.

    An Unreliable Witness | 07.06.07, 09:11

We’re allowed bragging? Well my enormous cylindrical tower-block is bigger than your enormous cylindrical tower-block. Bet mine’ll stay up longer too.

    The Goldfish | 07.06.07, 10:51

Yes, but, er, my enormous cylindrical tower-block has a high-speed lift to the top floor.

[I think that’s what’s called a double entendre at a tangent. Or something.]

    An Unreliable Witness | 07.06.07, 11:33

I’ve seen your lift, Mr Witness, but I shan’t lower the town by going into too much unsavoury detail with phrases like ‘hand cranked’, no, not me.
