Fluttering

Sometimes I wake with stars in my eyes
Sometimes I wake with swirls
Sometimes I wake with dust in my eyes
Sometimes I wake with tears.

Yet always I lie there wondering
If you, did you, and why did you
Hit me over the head with a hammer
In the night?

Gordon, I told him not to sleep with Timmy Mallet too but would he listen?

    Angelalala | 08.09.07, 17:20

I did it because the chance of waking with the stars in your eyes is worth the risk of tears.

Also because it was kind of fun. :)

I too try and have conversations with life like that, only to realise after a while that it is just another monologue and that frankly life doesn’t give a monkey’s about me, about you or about anybody else.

I tried the feather which was deemed insufficient.
I tried some kisses which made you swat.
I tried to sing which produced a frown.
I tried to stare which was horribly inadequate.
Was it my fault you responded best to the hammer?

    blueseaurchin | 08.13.07, 17:28

I thought I had answered these comments. Oh dear. I am not being aloof, just forgetful.

So, er, yes. Thank you all.
