One moment of meaningful exhalation

[Insert words here]
         Um. Well. Indeed. Yes.
                  Thank you.
Thank you for your time.
         That is all.
Don’t call us. We’ll call you.
I am going to climb into my well now.
Please do not drop pebbles on my head.
Not unless you hear me mumbling to myself.

Down in the well. Me too. Have one treasured pebble in pocket. For comfort. And to hold. Like worry beads. Only better. “My precioussss”.…. (strokes pebble lovingly).

    Chloé | 09.19.07, 18:15

As long as your well definitely isn’t a long-drop… that wouldn’t be very good.

    lillipilli | 09.19.07, 21:32

I’m not sure that climbing into a well is an option. I think that most people fall into wells. Well, I don’t mean that most people do… I mean that, if one is to enter a well, falling is the most common entry technique, I should think.

Now, having cleared that up, I think you already are mumbling to yourself (that’s what this post is about, isn’t it??)… so here come the pebbles.

    blueseaurchin | 09.20.07, 14:18

Are we allowed to drop pebbles if we hear you singing? Or should we drop sweeties in stead?

    Allecsis | 09.20.07, 14:38

While you are down there, could you please look for my fire truck toy? I dropped it in there when I was 5. It mean a lot to me. Thank you.

    miss july | 09.21.07, 02:08

    Miles: Hahaha. Hahaha! HAHAHAHAHAHA!

Toru: If you would just work at the wig place with me instead of insisting on this writing malarky… ;)

Unreliable: Alright, you can come out now. *throws back your rope ladder*

    May K. | 09.21.07, 14:49

No, I am going to keep hiding here, if it’s all the same to you. Yes, my feet are getting a bit soggy in the small level of water that was unfortunately left at the bottom of the well, but it’s not as bad as it could be. After all, there’s just the one foot to get wet.

Thank you all for your comments. You are welcome to join me in my well, though it might be a bit of a tight squeeze.

If I turn on the TV, I do hope you won’t venture back up from your well dwelling, crawl your way through my screen and do unthinkable things to my person.

Throwing children down wells is against the Law.

    Poor Pebbles.

    NAGA | 09.22.07, 18:33

Unthinkable things to your person, NAGA?

Um, I am not that kind of blogger, you know.
