Persico — I got close to this once. I tried sniffing four-star petrol in order to mend a broken heart. Unfortunately, they threw me off the station forecourt.

In the movie Love Liza where he starts huffing remote controlled airplane gas to mend his broken heart.

Perhaps this is an option worth considering.
