Animal Fables III: Penguin

Once upon a time, there lived a shivering penguin.

This penguin was horribly allergic to ice and snow. It brought him out in a nervous rash, made him sway unsteadily and did funny things to his brain.

Not a good situation for a penguin, as I’m sure you’ll agree.

However, what this penguin couldn’t deny was that the severe chill of arctic conditions scintillated him, gave him goosebumps (well, it would, wouldn’t it?) and generally made him feel alive.

So, putting off the idea of moving to the sunny coasts of Portugal and living in a villa, he threw himself back into the deep, crisp snowdrifts. Lying there, staring at the clear, cloudless sky, he shivered like he’d never shivered before.

Face facts, you fool,” he thought to himself. “It’s cold, but it’s most definitely home.”

The End.
