This feels unreal

No links — you know where to find the news if you want it. Two planes have been delib­er­ately flown into New York’s World Trade Cen­ter, caus­ing massive explo­sions. There has been an explo­sion in the vicin­ity of the Pentagon, and a third plane has also been hijacked. Most of the major gov­ern­ment build­ings — such as The White House and the US Treas­ury — have been evacuated.

I’m watch­ing the live pic­tures (includ­ing foot­age of the second air­craft career­ing into the side of the tower), and I really can’t believe what I’m see­ing. Every­one around me is say­ing what I’m think­ing — that the images on the news look like scenes out of a movie, some­thing like Inde­pend­ence Day. Every report seems to bring details of another explo­sion. Horrific.

Des­pite what I’ve writ­ten above, I really am lost for the adequate words to say. And I am genu­inely scared.
