Things we said today (and previously)

I’ve got this great new hobby, which involves hav­ing long con­ver­sa­tions in which both I and the per­son I’m talk­ing to know exactly what sub­ject we’re talk­ing about, but neither of us dare refer to it or men­tion any of the words con­nec­ted with it. Instead, we do the Dance of the Nervously Twitch­ing Feet and talk around the sub­ject in ever-decreasing circles. I know you won’t believe me when I say this, but it’s a won­der­fully enjoy­able way to pass one’s time.
